The Sermon on the Mount by Sinclair Ferguson. The Sermon on the Mount is probably the best known section of the entire Bible. Yet it is also one of the least understood parts of the teaching of Jesus Christ. “It is not a sermon about an ideal life in an ideal world,” writes Sinclair Ferguson, “but about the kingdom life in a fallen world.” This study will explore questions every Christian encounters: What is a Christian? Does the Law of God still have a place in Christian life? How can I learn to pray? How can I learn self-discipline? Why am I a prisoner to anxiety?
In addition to the weekly Bible study discussion, we will have a time for small group discussion to allow for deepening our personal relationships as we share our struggles and joys together.
We have two Bible study group, starting January 12th through end of March. Kristine Sung will lead both groups, one on Friday mornings from 9:30 – 11:00 a.m. in Room 101 (Childcare is available for the Friday bible study) and a second group on Monday evenings from 7-8:30 p.m. meeting at Kristine Sung’s home in Allen.
