Our History

Our-History

Redeemer Presbyterian Church has been a part of the McKinney community since September 1996, and has established a rich heritage as the people of God who have come to know His grace through His Son Jesus Christ. Our identity in Christ has given us a clear sense of His leading.

As members of Christ’s blessed and holy body we’re excited about God redeeming every area of our lives for the glory of His Son through: worship, word, witness inreach, witness outreach and work (Philippians 2:12-13).

Redeemer had its first somewhat formal worship service at sunrise on a cold Easter morning in 1996. In September of the same year services began at the Holiday Inn, and by December, the congregation had purchased a 12 acre tract on Custer Road, which is centrally located in the rapidly growing areas of McKinney, Frisco, Allen and north Plano.

Exciting things are happening today as we now move to the next stage of ministry. We are now concentrating on various ministries within the church body and community as we concentrate on two things: preaching the Gospel and building community. These are vitally important to our philosophy of ministry as we seek to reach out beyond the walls.

We want you to know you are welcome at RPC and that there are opportunities for you to use your God-given gifts to build up the body for the glory of God alone.
